Before and after the summer season, the radiator fins should be cleaned of stuck insect particles, otherwise the cooling efficiency will be impaired.
Remove the radiator grille (see section "Removal the cladding", chapter "Body").
Additionally, remove the electric fan with diffuser (see section "Removal the fan motor").
Flush the radiator.
Direct a not too strong stream of water through the radiator fins. Hard brushes or sharp tools can damage the fins.
A special cleaning agent for cleaning the internal surface is necessary when the radiator has been damaged by electrolysis or contamination.
