Are the hoses at the radiator and engine tight, as well as thinner hoses leading to the heating system or to the oil cooler?
Are there cracks in the hoses? Replace if necessary.
Are the hose clamp screws tight?
Rusted hose clamps can suddenly come loose while riding and at full operating pressure in the cooling system. They need to be replaced!
The workshop controls the tightness of the cooling system with a special manual air pump, which has a pressure gauge.
This device is installed in the opening of the expansion tank and pumped up a pressure of 1 bar (increase by 1 bar).
If the pressure does not drop within 1-2 minutes, then the cooling system is sealed.
