Car maintenance work (VW Golf 1)

The importance of timely maintenance is hard to overestimate - as you know, it is easier to prevent a disease than to cure it. Self-service of the car will not only save you money, but also help you get to know your car better.

In the section "Maintenance Schedule" a list of works and time intervals at which they should be performed are given. If your car is driven a lot, then you should be guided by the car's mileage, and if the mileage is small, then by the timing of the work.

This chapter describes the maintenance work listed in the "Schedule..." in more detail. Some of the work is described in the next chapter "Engine adjustment".
