Dust, clay, and sand can fly from the wheels onto the bottom and settle there. Removing such deposits, mixed with salt in winter, is especially important.
Preservation of the hood is necessary to prevent corrosion in the front part of the car (for example, side parts, longitudinal beams or the front part of the body) and drive units. The bonnet, including parts of the brake system, front axle elements and steering, should be sprayed with high-quality preservative wax after washing the engine.
Attention! Before washing the engine, cover the generator and the expansion tank of the brake system with polyethylene film. Although the generator bearing is protected from water, when cleaning with a jet of steam there is a risk of leaching with lubricant-dissolving additives. This may result in noise in the bearing or even its failure. After applying wax, clean all joints and lubricate with MoS2 paste.
