NOTE: Replace the O-rings. Do not reuse the drained oil.


Removal



Remove the engine soundproofing screen.

Remove the charge air cooler connecting hose.

Remove the left fender liner.

Loosen the nut of the air conditioner line clamp near the charge air cooler 1 (Fig. 5.22).

Remove the air filter housing.

Remove sound insulation 1 from the engine (Fig. 5.23).

Install the T10109 holder on the engine (Fig. 5.24).

Remove the air conditioning compressor and set aside.
Clamp the suction hose 1 using hose clamp 3094 (fig. 5.17).

Remove the hollow bolt 2.

Cover the pressure pipeline with polyethylene or the like.

Open the spring clamp and remove the suction hose 1 from the impeller pump.

Remove the damper from the engine bracket (Fig. 5.25).

Install the support console for the 10-222 A motor with adapters 10-222 A/3, 10-222 A/8 and 10-222 A/19 (Fig. 5.26).

Install 10-222A/19 adapters on the side members.


Be careful not to damage the air conditioner pipe 1 when installing the adapter.

Adapters 10-222A/8 serve only to prevent tipping over.

Disconnect the connector under the engine bracket.

Unscrew the engine bracket bolts and remove the bracket (Fig. 5.28).

Unscrew the bolts and remove the impeller pump 1 from the cylinder block (Fig. 5.29).

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.

Fill the vane pump with hydraulic oil. Pour the oil through the suction port of the vane pump.

Turn the hub by hand until oil comes out on the pressure side.

Install the impeller pump. Bleed the steering system.

Check the level of working fluid in the hydraulic system.

Check the steering system for leaks.

Tightening torques



Vane pump to cylinder block - 40 Nm + 90°.

Hollow bolt to impeller pump - 35 Nm.

Engine bracket to cylinder block - 55 Nm.

Damper to engine bracket/support - 75 Nm.
