Removal
CAUTION: When performing all installation work, particularly in the engine compartment, due to the tight layout, pay attention to the following. All types of lines, such as fuel, hydraulic, activated carbon canister system, cooling systems, refrigerant, lines under vacuum, and electrical lines must be routed as originally installed.
Provide adequate clearance for access to all moving and hot components.
Carefully remove the decorative cover from the 4 retaining bolts (Fig. 5.31).
Mark the direction of rotation of the poly V-belt.
Remove the poly V-belt.
Unscrew the bolts, while holding the poly V-belt pulley using the 3212 cam key (Fig. 5.32).
Clamp the suction line using hose clamps to 25 mm and remove from the impeller pump.
Remove the hollow bolt.
Unscrew the bolts and remove the impeller pump from the mount (Fig. 5.33).
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, taking into account the following.
Fill the impeller pump with hydraulic oil.
Fill the oil through the suction pipe of the impeller pump.
Turn the hub by hand until oil comes out on the pressure side.
Install the impeller pump into place, tightening the front bolts first.
Install the poly V-belt and check the belt drive pulleys for misalignment (Fig. 5.34).

NOTE: When installing the poly V-belt, ensure that it is correctly seated in the pulleys.
Bleed the steering system.
Check the oil level, hydraulic system and top up if necessary.
Check the steering system for leaks.
Tightening torques
V-belt pulley on impeller pump - 25 Nm.
Hollow bolt to impeller pump - 35 Nm.
Vane pump to mount - 25 Nm.
NOTE: Please use new O-ring.
