Installing a glass panel for a lift and slide sunroof (VW Touareg 1)

The panel must be installed in its original position (the hatch panel is closed).

Starting position

The marking on the top of the guide, at the back, 1 should be between the marks on both sides and on the rocker guides 2 (Fig. 8.46).



The slide guide 2 must be fixed in the guide rail (does not move by hand).

If this is not the case, adjust the parallel stroke.

Insert the sunroof panel from above and tighten the screws (wings/covers) (fig. 8.45).

Do not tighten the screws too much.

NOTE: Tighten the screws after adjusting the panel height to a tightening torque of 4.5 Nm.
