Internal parts and components of the additional heater

Internal parts and components of the additional heater

  • 1 - Additional heater control unit cover "J364"
  • 2 - Temperature sensor "G18"
  • 3 - Overheating sensor "G189"
  • 4 - Combustion chamber pipe. The figure shows the version for a car with a gasoline engine and a fine filter in the fuel line
  • 5 - Heat exchanger
  • 6 - 7 Nm, 3 pcs.
  • 7 - Spring
  • 8 - 4 Nm
  • 9 - Gasket, must be replaced after each removal
  • 10 - Lid
  • 11 - Branch pipe, mark the installation position
  • 12 - 4 Nm

  • 15 - Mounting bracket
  • 16 - Glow plug with flame sensor "Q8", ensure correct installation, only possible in the version for cars with a gasoline engine. In the version for cars with a diesel engine, the fuel preheating heating element "Z66" has a non-removable design, it cannot be disconnected from the combustion chamber pipe. Its wires are connected to the wires of the glow plug with flame sensor "Q8". In this version, if the glow plug with flame sensor "Q8" fails, it is necessary to replace the combustion chamber pipe as a whole.
  • 17 - Burner. With a fuel shut-off valve "N109" built into the fuel line (non-removable structure). The fuel shut-off valve "N109" is only available for vehicles with a diesel engine. The fuel shut-off valve "N109" prevents fuel from entering the combustion chamber after the auxiliary heater has been switched off. In order to be able to relieve pressure in the fuel line, a bypass channel is provided in the section between the fuel shut-off valve "N109" and the metering pump "V54". Install the components with the corresponding number. The fuel shut-off valve "N109" can be checked using the tester -VAS 5051 B- or its later modification.
  • 1B - Fan for air supply to the combustion chamber of the heater "V6", fan for air supply to the combustion chamber "V5" and its housing form a single non-detachable unit
