Move the left rear seat as far forward as possible. Unscrew nut "1". Remove the trim from the clips on the wheel arch.

Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Move the left rear seat as far forward as possible. Remove the cover with the inscription Airbag "1" and unscrew the screw "2" (4.5 Nm). Unscrew the nut "3". Remove the cover "4" and unscrew the screw "5" (4.5 Nm).
Remove the trim from the clips on the wheel arch.
CAUTION: Electrostatic discharges can cause the airbags to deploy unintentionally. Therefore, before disconnecting the squib wires and the airbag ground, the mechanic must relieve the electrostatic charge. This can be done by touching, for example, the unpainted metal part of the door lock.
Press the connector lock and disconnect the wiring harness from the side airbag. Remove the rear trim assembly with side airbag "1" from the vehicle.
