Instructions: The following describes the work on removing and installing the left side of the car. Removing and installing on the right side is done in a similar way. Observe safety regulations when working with seat belt pretensioners.
Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Remove the upper trim of the B-pillar from its mountings. Remove the lower trim of the B-pillar. Unscrew screw "1" (40 Nm) and disconnect the seat belt eye "2" from the body.

Unscrew the two screws "1" (4.5 Nm) and remove the seat belt guide bracket "2".
Instructions: When installing, set the seat belt guide bracket to the correct position.

Loosen screw "1" (40 Nm) and disconnect the upper eye "2" from the height adjustment mechanism.

Loosen screw "1" (40 Nm) and remove the seat belt inertia reel "2" from pillar B.
CAUTION: Electrostatic discharges can cause the seat belt pretensioner to operate unintentionally. Therefore, before disconnecting the squib and ground wires, the mechanic must relieve the electrostatic charge. To do this, you can touch, for example, the unpainted metal part of the door lock.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the seat belt inertia reel.
