General description — models with a 2.4 l engine (VW Lt 28)

1. The fuel system on LT models with a 2.4L 6-cylinder engine, introduced in 1983, is basically the same as on models with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine.

2. The fuel pump, fuel tank, accelerator pump and choke controls are the same as on earlier models. Maintenance of these parts must be performed as specified in chapter 3, taking into account the features given in Specifications at the beginning of this Appendix.

3. Models with a 2.4L engine are equipped with a Solex 2B6 carburetor, which is described below.
