34. Check the operation of the air damper lowering unit.

35. Pull the air damper cable out so that the serrated disc is facing its highest protrusion.

36. Loosen the choke block cover mounting screws and turn the cover counterclockwise until the air damper closes. Tighten the cover screws.

37. Move the air damper control rod to the stop by placing a screwdriver on the adjusting screw (1) and pushing it in the direction indicated by the arrow (see Figure 13.27) i.e. in the direction of the air damper lowering block.

38. Using a drill of a suitable diameter, measure the gap between the edge of the valve and the carburetor wall.

39. Using the screw (1), adjust the starting gap until the required value is achieved.

40. Turn the choke block cover back to its original position (so that the installation marks align).
