17. The engine must be at normal operating temperature.

18. The ignition timing and idle speed must be adjusted correctly.

19. Open the throttle valve and turn the choke cam so that the adjusting screw rests on the highest protrusion of the cam.

20. The air damper must be fully open.

21. Start the engine without touching the gas pedal.

22. Adjust the fast idle speed to the desired value using the adjusting screw (see photo).

23. When finished, secure the adjusting screw with a dab of paint.
