Thoroughly clean the valve seat in the cylinder head and insert the valve into its guide sleeve.
Under slight pressure on the valve plate, turn it about a quarter of a turn and remove it.
The round contact patch observed on the seating surface in the cylinder head makes it possible to conclude that the valve seat is tight. If the seating surface is evenly covered with lapping paint over the entire surface, then the valve seat is tight. If there are stains without paint, then you need to continue grinding until a proper result is achieved.
Checking with valves installed
Install the cylinder head so that both the intake ports and the exhaust port point upwards.
Pour some kerosene into the channels. With sealed valves, kerosene must not spill into the combustion chambers.
