As with any other high-tech product, careful handling, care and maintenance are also necessary here. Only then can we guarantee that safety, service life and driving comfort will be ensured throughout the entire service life of the tire.
Tyres are heavily dependent on a constantly evolving process. Modern designs, production technologies and continuous quality control produce high-quality tyres. All tyres approved by VW have been tested by the technical development department and, in cooperation with tyre manufacturers, calculated for the respective vehicle type.
Therefore, we recommend that when changing tyres, you always fit approved and recommended tyre products.
Car safety is of the utmost importance. Considering the various operating conditions, such as:
- different speed ranges;
- winter and summer operation;
- wet or dry road surface;
- an optimal compromise for traffic safety must be found.
During use and over time, each tyre is subject to many different loads. It is therefore important that the fundamental conditions for optimum tyre operation are met.
Correct wheel alignment is one of the most important conditions for achieving optimum tyre life. Therefore, wheel alignment must be within the prescribed tolerance range.
Note: The reasons for tire damage and claims may vary. Therefore, it is very important to distinguish what caused the claim to the tire or other parts.
Note: With normal wear of the tire, its performance characteristics change. Rolling noise and rough running may occur. These phenomena are not considered tire defects, but are associated with wear. They can be eliminated by targeted measures, at least partially. In certain cases, it will not be possible to eliminate 100% of the driving noise.
