Remove the door trim as described above. Carefully remove the soundproofing film from the inner door panel. Remove the door lock handle. Depending on the car model, this operation is performed through the hole located under the lock, or with a 3 mm drill inserted into the hole in the lower part of the lock.
Loosen the lock mounting screws and remove the lock (Fig. 9-27).
The lock is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- check the gap (free play of the handle of the lock drive) between the drive rod and the lock, which should be within 0.1-1.0 mm. If necessary, adjust the gap by rotating the drive rod of the lock handle.
