Checking and adjusting the front wheel alignment (VW Passat B2)

Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment as follows:

• set the steering to the straight ahead position;
• divide the nominal value of the toe-in angle in half and adjust the toe-in angle of each wheel to the obtained value by rotating the connecting coupler of the corresponding steering rods, after loosening the lock nuts;
• tighten the locknuts of the steering rod clamps;
• if necessary, adjust the position of the steering wheel.
