Examination
Set wheels straight.
Attach a goniometer to the wheel disk, mark with chalk the place of application of the device.
Install the device so that the air bubble is in the middle position.
Calculate the collapse value.
Roll the car half a wheel turn forward.
Once again, attach the goniometer to the place marked with chalk, and repeat the measurement.
The mean camber value is determined from the first and second measurements.
Adjustment
The camber of the front wheels is adjusted by turning the eccentric bushing.
Set the protractor to the prescribed camber angle (see table at the end of the chapter) and attach the wheels to the disk in the place marked with chalk.
Loosen the hex nut on the top pivot (see arrow) and rotate the eccentric sleeve until the level is in the middle position.
After adjustment, tighten the hex nut.
