Examination



Set the wheels straight.

Place the protractor on the wheel disk and mark the location of the device with chalk.

Position the device so that the air bubble is in the middle position.

Calculate the camber value.

Roll the car forward half a turn of the wheels.

Place the protractor again on the place marked with chalk and repeat the measurement.

The average camber value is determined from the first and second measurements.

The camber of the front wheels is adjusted by rotating the eccentric sleeve.

Set the protractor at the prescribed camber angle (see table at the end of the chapter) and place it on the wheel disk in the place marked with chalk.
