Note: The data in the table applies to all variants of the vehicle when unladen.

Note: 10 minutes of arc corresponds to a wheel toe-in of 1.2 mm (for 15-inch tires).

Front suspensionKafer 1200 and 1300 (torsion bar suspension)Kafer 1302 and 1303 (shock absorber suspension)

Camber during normal adjustment after a minimum 500 km run:
all cars--1°±40'
Kafer 1200+1°±1°-
cabriolet+15'±1'-
Maximum permissible deviation-1°30'-
Maximum permissible difference in camber between both wheels20'45'
Overall toe-in with prescribed camber-5°±10'0°±15'
Maximum permissible deviation in the direction of rotationmax 10'max 10'

Calculating the deviation from the direction of movement

1) If the convergence values have the same signs ("+"/"+" or "-"/"-"), subtract the smaller value from the larger one and divide by 2.

Example:

Left rear wheel toe-inRight rear wheel toe-in
+15'+5'
15'-5'= 10'
10':2 = 5'

The deviation from the direction of movement is 5'.

2) The values of convergence with different signs ("+"/"-") are summed up and the sum is divided by 2.

Example:

Left rear wheel toe-inRight rear wheel toe-in
+15'-5'
15'+5'=20'
20':2 = 10'

The deviation from the direction of movement is 10'.

The obtained result is the value of the actual deviation of the direction of movement from the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
