Changing wheels (VW Beetle)

It is not recommended to change wheels unnecessarily, since with their frequent removal and installation (the latter is usually done in practice without a torque wrench and therefore does not guarantee uniform and proper tightening of the bolts) deformation of the brake drums may occur.

It is recommended to use the tires until they wear out on the front wheels. When the wear limit is reached:

Install two new wheels in the front or install one spare and one new wheel.

Leave the old wheels at the back.

When changing wheels, it is not advisable to change the direction of rotation of the tires, as this will cause them to wear out faster.

Attention! The tightening torque for the wheel mounting bolts is 130 Nm (13 kgfm).
