Removal
Attention! There are two radio antennas installed on the rear hatch glass. Two amplifiers on both sides of the rear hatch amplify the signal received by the antennas. Removal and installation of both amplifiers are performed in the same way.
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key from the lock.
2. Remove the trim from the tailgate, see the relevant chapter.
3. Unscrew screw 1 and move the receiving signal amplifier in the direction of the arrow (see illustration). If necessary, slightly loosen the spacer clip 2.
4. Remove the antenna signal booster and carefully disconnect plug 3 (see illustration 44.3).
Attention! The antenna wire is very thin and if it is torn, you will have to replace the glass in the rear hatch.
5. Disconnect the plug from the mounting on the tailgate.
6. Remove the amplifier together with the wire from the rear hatch.
Installation
The amplifier is installed in the reverse order of removal.
