Speakers on the dashboard
Removal
Attention! There is one mid-tone speaker and one high-tone speaker installed on the left and right sides of the instrument panel. Both speakers can only be replaced as a set.
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Use a plastic wedge, such as HAZET 1965-20, to pry up the trim above both speakers and remove it from the instrument panel. Start the wedge from the front side of the trim (see arrows in the illustration).

3. Unscrew the screws (see arrows in the illustration), remove the support board with both speakers and disconnect the plugs.

Please note! As of 05/03, the dimensions of the speaker support plate have been changed. To mount this plate on vehicles manufactured before 04/03, two holes must be drilled in the instrument panel.
The speakers are installed in the reverse order of removal.
Low tone speaker
The low-tone speakers on the front and rear doors of Touran cars are removed in the same way as on Golf cars.
Rear tweeter
The high-tone speaker is mounted on the back of the rear side door trim and is soldered to the trim.
Its replacement is carried out together with the overlay, which should be matched to the color of the door upholstery.
