Removal
1. Turn off the ignition and remove the ground cable from the battery.
2. Apply the handbrake, then raise the front of the car and secure it on stands.
3. Remove the lower engine compartment splash shield.
4. Unscrew the bracket (1) supporting the coolant pipe. Unscrew the nuts (indicated by arrows), securing the starter.
5. Remove the electrical connector from terminal 50 of the traction relay (indicated by the arrow). Disconnect the wire from terminal 30 (indicated by the arrow) traction relay.
6. Remove the starter.
Installation
1. Install the starter and secure it with nuts, tightening them to a torque of 60 Nm.
2. Connect the wire to terminal 30 (1) and tighten the wire fastening nut to a torque of 13 Nm (2 – terminal 50, 3 – terminal 15A, 4 – starter excitation winding connection point).
3. Connect the electrical connector to terminal 50 of the starter (3).
4. Secure the coolant pipe bracket.
5. Install the lower engine compartment splash shield.
6. Connect the ground wire to the battery.
