Removal and installation high-frequency speakers (VW Golf 4)

The tweeters in the front door are mounted in the interior trim panel of the outside rear-view mirror, and in the rear door – in the interior trim panel of the door handle.

The loudspeaker can only be replaced together with the decorative cover.

Removal

Front door

1. Remove the door trim.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector located on the speaker wires.



3. Remove the screw (A) located at the bottom of the inner trim panel of the outside rearview mirror.

4. Move the decorative cover with the speaker attached to it upward and remove it from the front door.

Warning: The interior decorative trim of the exterior mirror is hooked at only one point and can only be moved upwards.

Back door

5. Remove the rear door trim.

6. Remove the decorative trim from the inner rear door handle.

7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the speaker.

8. Remove the window switch.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
