The liquid pump cannot be repaired. If it is faulty, it must be replaced.
After removing the pump, make sure there are no signs of leaks on it (most often in the form of rusty spots), and ease of shaft rotation (turn it by hand).
When replacing the pump, it is necessary to remove the housing. Unscrew the cover mounting bolts and remove the pump. Remove the gasket between the two parts of the pump housing. When installing the cover, replace the gasket, as well as the thermostat housing seals.
