When driving at high speed, the steering wheel starts to jerk, which disappears when the speed increases or decreases. The symptoms of unbalanced wheels lead over time to accelerated wear of the suspension and steering mechanism joints, as well as shock absorbers. Wheels must be balanced after each tire repair or every 15,000 km.
Warning: Only use anti-skid chains on the front wheels. Driving speed must not exceed 50 km/h. When driving on a surface free of snow, chains must be removed. All VW models must use only chains with small links, the height of which above the tire profile does not exceed 15 mm.
