Installing speakers (VW Golf 1)

Mono speaker in Golf models produced before July 1980: remove glove box, see chapter "Salon".

Insert a suitable speaker.

To secure, use the spring clip at the bottom, in the appropriate eye.

Mono speaker in Golf models produced after August 1980 and Jetta: install the speaker with its special decorative grille in the middle of the instrument panel in front of the low middle storage bin.

Stereo speakers in doors: remove plastic trim, insert speaker.

In all models: place the wire to the radio receiver so that it does not knock, possibly in a layer of foam rubber.

Rear speakers in the Golf model: in the latest models, the side supports of the trunk have corresponding grilles and fasteners for mounting the speakers.

Insert the speaker and secure it with clamps.

Route the speaker cable underneath the mat (see chapter "Salon").

Rear speakers in the Jetta model: there are already places for installation on the shelf under the rear window.

Remove the seat back: remove the shelf cover, make the necessary holes for the speakers.

Install speakers.

Lay the wire under the mat.
