Adjustment
If the starter lock switch setting is correct, the engine can only be started when the selector lever is in the "N" or "R".
The switch, consisting of a moving contact and a contact plate, is located on the base plate of the selector lever inside the vehicle (1 and 2, fig. K:1). If necessary, adjust the position of the contact plate so that the above conditions are met. To do this, loosen the screws securing the contact plate and move it, increasing or decreasing the gap between the plate and the moving contact. Tighten the plate fixing screws after adjustment.
