Adjustment
If the starter interlock switch is adjusted correctly, the engine can only be started when the selector lever is in the "N" or "P" position.
The switch, consisting of a movable contact and a contact plate, is located on the support plate of the selector handle inside the vehicle (1 and 2, figure K:1). If necessary, adjust the position of the contact plate so that the above conditions are met. To do this, loosen the screws that secure the contact plate and move it, increasing or decreasing the gap between the plate and the movable contact. Tighten the screws that secure the plate after adjustment.
