If the adjustment size is exceeded, the hydraulic valve clearance compensator will no longer work. In this case, it is necessary to replace the cylinder head.
The valve seats are brought to a perfect contact spot. The valve seat rings can be replaced using a standard factory tool. Reamers are required for finishing. Since handling this tool requires certain skills, the work must be carried out in factory conditions.
Attention! The exhaust valve seat rings have an additional narrowing. When fine-tuning, pay strict attention to the fact that the narrowing radius is preserved.
Calculating the maximum allowable finishing dimensions
1. Insert the valve and press it firmly against the seat.

2. Measure the distance (a) between the end of the valve stem and the top edge of the cylinder head.
3. To obtain the maximum allowable finishing size (b), it is necessary to subtract the minimum size (see table 1) measured distance (a).
Table 1
Engine type | Minimum size, mm | |
| Inlet valve | Exhaust valve | |
| Gasoline engine | 33,80 | 34,10 |
| Diesel engine | 35,80 | 36,10 |
Gasoline engine intake valve seat
a. Minimum size; b. Maximum allowable finishing size (is calculated); z. Lower edge of cylinder head; 30°. Upper correction angle; 45°. Valve seat angle
Exhaust valve seat of a gasoline engine
a. Minimum size; b. Maximum allowable finishing size (is calculated); z. Lower edge of cylinder head; 30°. Upper correction angle; 45°. Valve seat angle
Processing angle and valve seat diameter
| Gasoline engine | Inlet valve, mm | Exhaust valve, mm |
| a | 37,2 | 32,4 |
| with | about 2.0 | about 2.4 |
Processing angle and valve seat diameter
| Diesel engine | Inlet valve, mm | Exhaust valve, mm |
| a | max 37,2 * | min 33,2 * |
| v | 34,8 | 30,4 |
| with | 2,7 | 2,05 |
* outer diameter of the adjustment cutter
Valve dimensions

| Engine | Inlet valve, mm | Exhaust valve, mm |
| Gasoline engine | a = 40.00 | a = 33.00 |
| b = 7,97 | b = 7,95 | |
| c = 91.00 | c = 90,80 | |
α = 45° | α = 45° | |
| Diesel engine | a = 36,00 | a = 31,00 |
b = 7,97 | b = 7,95 | |
c = 95.00 | c = 95,00 | |
α = 45° | α = 45° |
Attention! The valve cannot be adjusted, only lapping is allowed.
Cylinder head size
Petrol engine: a = 132.6 mm
Attention! The cylinder head of a diesel engine must not be finished.
