Procedure after an accident with deployment of pretensioners and/or airbags (VW Tiguan 1)
After each deployment of the front passenger airbag and/or the front passenger belt pretensioner, the basic setting of the seat occupied recognition system control unit "J706" must be performed. The basic setting must be performed using a tester with a "Guided Fault Finding" mode. When replacing the seat cushion runners and/or base due to deformation in an accident, the seat occupied recognition system must also be replaced using the "Seat occupied recognition system repair kit". Then the basic setting of the seat occupied recognition system control unit "J706" must be performed. The basic setting must be performed using a tester with a "Guided Fault Finding" mode.
