Location of the side airbag in the back of the front seat
Along with the driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags are installed in the front seats. The volume of the side airbags is 12 liters.
Side airbags are located in the backrests of the front seats and protect the driver and passenger in side collisions.
Depending on the direction of the impact, only those airbags that are closest to the point of impact are deployed.
A side impact is detected by a sensor located under the front seat. Based on the information from this sensor, the control unit determines the force of the impact and, if necessary, activates the appropriate airbag.
