Figure 11.1. Front suspension and steering (LT 28, 31, 35). Left hand drive version shown. The right hand drive version is similar to this one (Section 1): 1 - Front axle; 2 - Stabilizer; 3 - Shaft of the shackle; 4 - Upper arch; 5 - Idle lever; 6 - Radial arms; 7 - Knee; 8 - Lower arch; 9 - Steering box.
Front suspension
On the LT 28, 31 and 35 models the front suspension is of the independent type with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers (See photo 1.0a).

Upper and lower struts are used in conjunction with the radial arms and stabilizer beam (except for LT 35 Van).
The LT 40 and 45 models use a monolithic axle beam with springs. telescopic shock absorbers and stabilizer.

Rear suspension
The rear suspension design is the same on all models; its construction includes semi-elliptical springs, rubber bellows and telescopic shock absorbers. The LT 28 and 31 models are equipped with a Panhard bar, while other models use a stabilizer bar (see photo 1.0b).

Steering
The steering gear is of the worm type with a folding steering knee.
