Press the joint in until it stops.
Install retaining ring.
Pressing on inner CV joint
Attention! The chamfer of the splined hole of the CV joint must face the splined end of the drive shaft.
Installing the boot clamps
Install the pliers as shown in the figure. In this case, it is necessary to ensure that the crimping edges of the pliers are adjacent to the base of the protrusion (arrows B) collar.
Compress the clamp by turning the lead screw with a torque wrench (without turning the pliers).
Attention!
- Since the material of the anther (compared to rubber) quite rigid, it requires a clamp made of stainless steel for its fastening. Such a clamp can only be crimped with special pliers
- Tightening torque: 25 Nm.
- Use torque wrench (WITH) with an adjustment range of 5-50 Nm.
- If rotation is difficult, for example due to contamination of the thread, the required tightening force of the clamp is not achieved with the specified tightening torque.
Connected knots and parts | Threaded connection | Torque |
Wheel hub with wheel bearing | M16x1.5x80 | 200 Nm+180° (1*) |
Transmission flange, first tighten to 10 Nm, then crosswise to the specified torque | М8х48 М10х52 M10x23 | 40 Nm 70 Nm 70 Nm |
Intermediate shaft to support bracket | М8х25 | 20 Nm |
Support bracket to cylinder block | М8х25 | first tighten to 5 Nm and then to 35 Nm |
(1) When tightening the bolt, the vehicle must not be on wheels.
