Parts and components of the drive shaft with CV joint VL107 (VW Caddy 3)

List of drive shaft components and parts (CV joint VL107) with technological comments on repair to Figure VC4.125:
1. Outer CV joint:
- can only be replaced as a complete unit;
- press onto the shaft until it stops using a plastic hammer.
2. Hub bolt:
- when loosening and tightening the bolts, the car should not stand on its wheels;
- replace after each removal.
3. Drive shaft:
- for installation on the right side.
4. Clamp:
- replace after each removal;
- crimping.
5. Outer CV joint boot:
- check for cracks and abrasion;
- material: Hytrel (polyelastomer).
6. Clamp:
- replace after each removal;
- crimping.
7. Elastic washer:
- installation position.
8. Thrust washer:
- installation position.
9. Retaining ring:
- replace after each removal;
- install into the shaft groove.
10. Coupling sleeve:
- carefully remove with a punch;
- Before installing on the CV joint, apply D 454300 A2 to the mounting surface;
- the seating surface must be degreased!
11. Backing plate.
12. Hexagon socket head bolt;
- after each removal, the bolts must be replaced.
13. Clamp:
- replace after each removal.
14. Inner CV joint boot:
- material: Hytrel (polyelastomer);
- without ventilation hole;
- check for cracks and abrasion.
15. Clamp:
- replace after each removal.
16. Drive shaft:
- for installation on the left side.
17. Elastic washer:
- installation position,
18. Inner CV joint:
- can only be replaced as a complete unit;
19. Retaining ring:
- replace after each removal;
- install into the shaft groove.
20. Lid:
- replace after each removal.
