The gearbox operation program is selected automatically depending on the speed of the accelerator pedal. When the pedal is pressed slowly and smoothly, the gearbox selects the economical mode, and when pressed sharply, the sports mode.
The gearbox has a "kick-down" function. When you press the accelerator pedal all the way down, the gearbox shifts to a lower gear to increase acceleration. This mode is useful when overtaking, when you need to sharply increase acceleration to complete the overtaking faster.
Note: Depending on road resistance, such as when towing a trailer or climbing a steep hill, the transmission may shift to a lower gear, allowing more complete use of engine power and reducing the likelihood of frequent up-and-down shifting.
Selector positions (operating mode selection lever)

The selector positions are duplicated on the instrument panel display.
To move the selector, you need to press the button on the head of the lever.
The gear selector has the following positions:
R (Parking)
In this position, the drive wheels are mechanically locked. This mode can only be activated when the car is completely stopped. When moving the selector from position P to any other, you must press the button on the lever head. If the ignition is on, then to move the selector from position P, you must also press the brake pedal.
R (Reverse)
Reverse gear is engaged. To move the selector to this position, the car must be completely stopped and the engine must be idling. To move the selector to position R from positions P or N, press the brake pedal and the button on the selector lever head.
N (Neutral)
The wheels of the car are not locked and can rotate. To move the selector from the N position with the ignition on, press the brake pedal and the button on the selector lever head.
D (Drive)
This is the normal position of the selector for driving the car. The four forward gears are selected automatically depending on the speed of the car and the engine load.

This position is recommended for driving in hilly areas where the transmission frequently shifts from 3rd to 4th gear and back when in D mode. In this mode, all forward gears except 4th are automatically engaged. This improves engine braking when the accelerator pedal is released.

This position is recommended for driving in hilly terrain with steep descents and ascents. In this mode, 1st and 2nd forward gears are automatically engaged. 3rd and 4th gears are not engaged. This makes engine braking even more intense when the accelerator pedal is released.

This selector position is recommended for use when driving on very steep ascents and descents. The car moves only in 1st gear. The other gears are not engaged. In this mode, both the traction and braking power of the engine are used to the maximum. If the selector is in position 1, the cruise control system will not turn on.
Features of movement
The engine can only be started if the selector lever is in position P or N. To select another selector position, press the brake pedal. If you press the button on the selector lever head when the ignition is off, the ignition key cannot be turned.
When the vehicle is stationary, do not press the accelerator pedal to select the selector position.
If the selector lever accidentally moves to the N position while driving, release the accelerator pedal and let the engine go to idle speed, then engage the desired driving mode.
Cautions: When the vehicle is stopped and in gear, the throttle valve must not be opened under any circumstances (for example, manually from the engine compartment), otherwise the car will immediately move even if the parking brake is fully applied.
When working on the vehicle, if the engine can be started, apply the parking brake and set the selector to position P.
To move off, turn on one of the driving modes (R, D, 3, 2, 1), wait until the gearbox has made the necessary changes, press the accelerator and move off.
