With a key
In cars with central locking, all other doors, including the tailgate, are locked or unlocked simultaneously with locking or unlocking any side door. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn it.
Turn the key forward to lock the door.
To unlock the door, turn the key back.
The passenger door can be locked without a key: simply push the lock button down and slam the door shut. It is not possible to close the driver's door in the same way.
Remote control of door locks
For remote locking and unlocking the doors, a key with control buttons is used.
To lock all doors, press button 2 on the head of the key. Check if the doors are locked. If one of the doors is not properly closed or the key is left in the ignition, the remote door lock will not work. At the same time as the doors are locked, the anti-theft alarm is activated.
To unlock the doors, press button 1 on the key head.
After remote unlocking, you have 30 seconds to open the doors. After 30 seconds, the doors will automatically lock again.
If you want to lock or unlock the door mechanically, release the key by pressing the button shown by the arrow. In order to remove the key, you also need to press the button.
Tailgate
- When the tailgate key slot is vertical, the door is unlocked and locked automatically by pressing the central locking button.
- When the key slot is horizontal, the door is always locked. It can only be opened with a key.
Child safety
To prevent a child in the back seat from accidentally opening the door, it can be locked. To do this, open the rear door, insert the key into the lock slot on the end of the door and turn the key in the direction of the arrow. Now the lever for opening the door from the inside does not work and the door can only be opened from the outside. To unlock, turn the key against the arrow.
