Climatronic automatically maintains the selected temperature in the cabin. To do this, in addition to the temperature, the fan speed and the distribution of air flows in the cabin are automatically adjusted.

The system also takes solar radiation into account, which reduces the need for manual adjustments.

We recommend the following settings in all seasons. Set the temperature to 22°C and press the AUTO button. If the air does not require cooling, press the ECON button. This setting allows you to quickly achieve comfortable conditions in the cabin.

System operation

When the ignition is turned on, the system starts working in automatic mode. The display shows values 2, 3, 7 and 8.

If the settings are made in automatic mode, they are saved until the ignition is switched off. Only the recirculation mode is cancelled after 20 minutes.

The automatic mode settings can be changed by pressing any buttons. To switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit, press and hold button 16, then press button 12. The display will show the temperature in the corresponding unit.

Notes on Automatic Mode (AUTO)

The interior temperature can be easily set by turning knob 10. The selected value is saved until another temperature is selected. The interior temperature can be set within the range of +18°C to +29°C. It is regulated automatically within this range. If the selected temperature is below +18°C, the display shows the message L0 (low). If the selected temperature is above +29°C, the display shows the message HI (high). In these cases, the system operates with maximum cooling or heating. The temperature is not regulated.

In some cases, the system exhibits unexpected properties. For example, after starting a cold engine, the air from the system is directed mainly to the footwells. Although this is quite understandable - damp air does not get on the glass and the glass does not fog up.

Deviations from automatic mode

In almost all cases, the automatic mode provides the most comfortable conditions in the cabin all year round. However, in some cases it is necessary to change the settings. Climatronic tries to maintain the automatic mode in these situations as well.

The fan speed and the corresponding air speed can be changed by turning the knob 1. The flow speed is shown on the display by the number of thick vertical lines.

When you press button 11
  • economical mode ECON is disabled
  • air recirculation mode is disabled
  • the windshield and side windows are blown (if the side deflectors are directed towards the glass).

The distribution of air flows in the cabin can be changed by pressing buttons 13, 14 and 15. Buttons 11, 13, 14 and 15 can be used in any combination.

Button 16 (ECON) switches off the cooling mode, although heating is regulated automatically. The ECON mode is also switched off by pressing button 11. To switch on the ECON mode, press button 16. Please note that when switching on the ECON mode, the desired temperature cannot be lower than the ambient temperature. The combination of ECON and recirculation modes is only possible if button 17 is pressed first, then 16.

Air recirculation can be switched on by pressing button 17. Symbol 5 will appear on the display.

When the recirculation mode is turned on, the passenger compartment is isolated from the outside air, which allows you to get rid of outside dust or unpleasant odors. Working in the recirculation mode allows you to speed up the heating of the air in the passenger compartment. However, it is not recommended to use the recirculation mode for a long time and, as soon as possible, you should return to the system operating mode with an inflow of outside air. After turning off the recirculation mode, the system operates as usual - outside air enters the passenger compartment.

You should not smoke in the cabin with the air recirculation on, because in this case the air from the cabin gets into the evaporator and deposits accumulate in it, which smell bad. You can get rid of them only by replacing the evaporator.
