Coolant level (VW Passat B5)

Warning: Do not remove the expansion tank cap while the engine is hot, as there is a risk of burns from hot fluid vapors.

The coolant level in the expansion tank changes depending on the temperature.

Execution order

1. Wait until the engine cools down and slowly unscrew the cap from the expansion tank.

2. Pour a mixture of water and antifreeze into the expansion tank up to the mark.

3. Screw the cap onto the expansion tank.
