Checking and adjusting the main units of the subsystem (VW Passat B4)

Removal, installation, disassembly, assembly and adjustment of the injection control subsystem "Digifant 3.0/3.2" are mainly produced as specified for the "Digifant" system installed on the "2E" engine.

The elements and units of the KSUD, except for the idle speed sensor of the throttle valve, are not subject to adjustment. It is only possible to check their serviceability. Faulty units and elements are subject to replacement, which does not present any difficulties due to the simplicity of the removal and installation operations.

Checking the electrical parameters of the KSUD "Digifant 3.0/3.2" can be performed through the controller connector terminals, using a transition terminal block to avoid damaging the connector terminals with the universal control device extension cords. The procedure for such a check is given in Table 2-34.
