Windscreen wiper and washer (VW Passat B4)

A Bosch or SWF windshield wiper with two parallel-operating brushes driven by a two-speed electric motor with excitation from a permanent magnet and electromagnetic braking reverser. Intermittent operation of the windshield wiper with a 6-second pause between cycles is provided by a relay-interrupter (brand and catalog number: Hella 5WG 003 620-021 or SWF 601 234). installed in the mounting block. The wiring diagram for the windshield wipers and washers is shown in Fig. 8-23.
