Installing the gear shift cable (VW Golf 5)

10. Loosen the cable adjustment screw.

Caution! Do not lubricate the cable.

11. Route the cable without allowing it to be pulled, secure it in the bracket on the box, but do not fix it.

12. Secure the cable to the holder and make sure that the holder does not come into contact with the transmission oil cooling radiator.

13. Secure the cable to the gearshift lever using a pin.

14. Install the selector housing and heat shield.
