The 0.3 bar oil switch is identified by its brown insulation. It is located in the place of the previous oil switch between the protective tubes of the tappets. Additional 0.9 bar oil switch (gray insulation) is located to the left of the oil pump.
Check the oil level.
Check the electrical wiring of both switches according to the electrical diagram.
Checking the 0.9 bar oil switch
Loosen the muffler casing mounting nut (under the oil pump). Push the muffler casing to the side.
Unscrew the 0.9 bar oil switch, having first disconnected the wire.

Instead of the oil switch, screw in a corresponding pressure gauge.
If a VAG tester is used, screw the oil switch into the tester.
Note: This test can be performed if it is possible to screw the switch into the pressure gauge. Otherwise, only the 0.3 bar oil switch can be tested.
Connect the device to ground with a jumper.
Connect the 0.3 bar switch contact with jumper "A" to the positive terminal of the generator (or with the positive pole of the battery). In this case, no voltage should be indicated, and the control lamp or LED should not light.
Start the engine and slowly increase its speed.
As soon as the pressure gauge shows 0.75-1.05 bar, voltage should be indicated or the control lamp should light up. Otherwise, replace the 0.9 bar oil switch.
Checking the 0.3 bar oil switch
The control pressure gauge remains connected during testing, as when testing the 0.9 bar oil switch.

Disconnect the electrical wire "1" from the 0.3 bar oil switch. The switch is located on the left next to the protective tubes of the tappets.
Connect contact "2" of the switch with a jumper and the voltage meter to the positive terminal of the generator (or with the positive pole of the battery). In this case, voltage should be indicated, otherwise replace the switch.
Start the engine and slowly increase its speed. Observe the pressure gauge readings.
At a pressure of 0.15 to 0.45 bar the oil switch should switch off and the voltage indication should stop (or the control lamp goes out).
Checking oil pressure
Start the engine and increase the speed to 2000 rpm. At an oil temperature of +80°C, the oil pressure at these speeds should be at least 2.0 bar.
Low oil pressure is a sign of worn crankshaft bearings.
Screw in the oil switch with the sealing ring and tighten to a torque of 30 Nm.
