Removal and installation the gas strut plug (VW Touareg 1)

Removal

Pry up plug 1 with a plastic wedge and remove it (Fig. 8.17).

Installation

Insert plug 1 into the narrow edge until it stops.

Press both rear corners of the plug together at the same time.

Grasp the back edge and press the plug completely forward.

NOTE: Check that the plug is pressed firmly and locked in place.
