Engine installation (VW Tiguan 1)

Installation is carried out in the reverse order. In this case, it is necessary to observe the following instructions. For vehicles with a manual transmission: check whether the release bearing is worn out, replace it if necessary. Apply a thin layer of grease G 000 100 to the splines of the primary hall. Check for the presence of centering bushings that determine the relative position of the engine and gearbox. If the bushings are missing, they must be installed in the cylinder block. Align the engine mount using movements that cause shaking, without mechanical stress, and adjust sequentially. Electrical connections and wiring harness routing. Install the drive shafts.

On vehicles with all-wheel drive

Install the propeller shaft. Install the rear part of the exhaust system.

Install the particulate filter. Install the subframe.

With manual transmission

Install the hydraulic line of the hydraulic clutch. Install the gear shift mechanism, if necessary, adjust the cable shift drive.

With automatic transmission

Install the selector cable on the gearbox and adjust it if necessary. Check the ATF level and top up if necessary.

With dual clutch transmission

Install the gear selector cable and adjust it if necessary.

Fill with coolant. Fill the air conditioning circuit. Install the battery and battery mounting pad. Install the sound-absorbing tray. Perform a test drive and query the fault memory.
