Removal and installation the additional units bracket (VW Tiguan 1)

Remove the engine bracket. Remove the fuel injection pump. Remove the generator.

CAUTION: Do not depressurize the air conditioning system refrigerant circuit.

Unscrew the air conditioning compressor from the bracket of additional units and secure it to the radiator frame. Unscrew the idler pulleys "1" and "2" and unscrew the bolt of the toothed belt protective cover "arrow".



Unscrew bolts -6...1- and remove the bracket for additional units.



Installation in reverse order. In this case, it is necessary to consider the following. Pay attention to the presence of mounting bushings in the bracket of additional units, if necessary, replace the missing ones. Replace all bolts that are tightened with additional tightening.

Additional Unit Bracket - Torques and Tightening Sequence

Insert the accessory bracket bolts.

• Bolts "1" and "2" M10x52.
• Bolts "5" and "6" M10x60.
• Bolts "3" and "4" M10x30.

Tighten the accessory bracket bolts in 2 stages.

• 1. Tighten all bolts by hand until they touch.
• 2. Tighten all bolts to 40 Nm.
• 3. Tighten bolts "3" and "4" by 45°.
• 4. Tighten bolts -1, 2, 5 and 6- by 90°.

Install the generator. Install the fuel injection pump. Install the engine bracket.
