ATTENTION: When performing installation work, especially in the engine compartment due to its dense layout, the following rules must be observed. All types of lines (for example, fuel, hydraulic, activated carbon absorber, cooling system, air conditioning system circuit, brake system, vacuum), and electrical wires must be laid as they were originally laid. Sufficient space must be provided when working with all moving or heated components.
Instructions: When the engine is warm, the cooling system is under pressure. Before repair, if necessary, relieve the pressure. Spring clamps are used to connect the hoses. When repairing, use only spring clamps. Before installation, freely position the cooling system hoses so that they do not come into contact with other parts (take into account the markings on the hose and the connection point). Check the cooling system for leaks using the cooling system tester -VAG 1274/-, expansion tank adapter -VAG 1274/8- and cap adapter -VAG 1274/9-.
