Telephony systems (VW Tiguan 1)

The Tiguan package includes two options for installing telephony systems. Either a connected telephone or a telephone connection kit. A connected telephone or a telephone connection kit is installed only in combination with a radio or radio navigation system. If the connection kit is available in the car, subsequent installation of mobile phones is possible. Control unit (interface block) mobile phone is already installed at the factory in cars with a phone connection kit. However, a corresponding adapter for the phone holder is still required, the design of which depends on the phone model (accessories and supplies).

Instructions: The main difference between a connected phone and a phone connection kit is the presence of a factory-installed mobile phone. The list below corresponds to the components of a connected mobile phone.

• 3 - Microphone "R38", hands-free telephone system, installed in the front ceiling light, interior lighting
• 4 - Microphone connector, in the frame of the front interior light
• 5 - Radio "R" or control unit with display of radio navigation system "J503" (radio navigation system)
• 6 - Right speakers
• 7 - Left speakers
• 8 - Power supply for the control unit of the mobile phone control electronics (interface block)
• 9 - Control unit for mobile phone control electronics "J412" (interface block), under the front right seat
• 10 - Connector on the phone holder, in the phone holder wiring harness behind the front panel
• 11 - Connector for connection to the control unit of the mobile phone control electronics
• 12 - Telephone antenna "R51", located at the back on the roof
• 13 - Antenna cable connector, telephone antenna connector, under the rear headliner
• 14 - Mobile phone "R54"
• 15 - Steering column control unit "J527"
