1. Clean off the protective grease from the surface of the pressure plate.

2. Clean the splines of the transmission input shaft with a wire brush and apply a small amount of molybdenum grease to them.

3. If you are installing a new clutch basket, you should find the installation guide on it (balancing) mark. If there is no mark, make one on the old clutch housing, aligning the holes for the flywheel mounting pins.

4. Install the driven disk on the flywheel so that the protruding part of the spring-loaded hub is directed away from the flywheel. Usually, on the side of the driven disk that should face the flywheel, there is an inscription FLYWHEEL SIDE.

5. Install the clutch basket onto the pins and tighten the bolts by hand.

6. The driven disk must be centered so that the drive shaft of the gearbox can be inserted into it.

7. The driven disk is centered using a special tool or the old drive shaft of the gearbox. You can make your own centering tool from a wooden stick with two specified diameters in cross-section (the section with the larger diameter must pass through the splined hub of the driven disk, and the section with the smaller diameter must fit into the guide bearing in the center of the flywheel). To obtain sections of the required diameter, you can use adhesive tape (see photo).

8. Insert the centering tool into the driven clutch disc and center the latter relative to the flywheel.

9. Gradually tighten the clutch housing bolts to the specified torque. Remove the centering tool (see photo).

10. If you removed the release bearing, apply a small amount of grease to the guide tube and install the bearing, retaining springs and clamps (see photo).

11. If you removed the clutch release lever, check that the clamp on the ball pin is securely held and apply grease to the pivot surface of the ball pin (see photo).
