10. The clutch release bearing is centralized on the shaft using a guide sleeve (see photo).

11. On early models this bushing is made of sheet metal, and on later models it is made of plastic. If the bushing is worn out, it can be replaced as follows.

12. Remove the clutch release lever and use a hacksaw to make a cut along the entire length of the bushing.

13. Using pliers or a similar tool, remove the sleeve from the shaft.

14. When performing both operations, be very careful not to damage the shaft.

15. The new sleeve is driven onto the shaft using a suitable mandrel and a wooden hammer.

16. Check that the sleeve fits into the groove on the shaft.

17. Sheet metal bushings are lubricated with molybdenum grease, plastic bushings do not need to be lubricated.
