Clutch release mechanism — modification since 1982 (VW Lt 28)

6. The clutch release lever is mounted on a ball joint in the clutch housing (see photos).





7. On models produced after 1982, the ball joint is replaced by a stud with a cap.

8. This cap must be replaced every time the clutch is replaced or after repairing the clutch release mechanism.

9. During assembly, do not lubricate either the cap or the support point of the clutch release lever.
